Andrea Kimi Antonelli

Andrea Kimi Antonelli is an Italian racing driver and a member of the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team’s junior program. He was born on August 25, 2006, in Bologna, Italy. Antonelli began karting at a young age and quickly gained recognition as one of the most talented young drivers in the sport. He won multiple karting championships, including the WSK Euro Series and the FIA Karting European Championship.

In 2022, Antonelli transitioned to single-seaters, competing in Formula 4 and winning both the Italian and ADAC Formula 4 championships. He continued his success in 2023 by dominating the Formula Regional European Championship with Prema Racing.

Due to his rapid rise through the ranks, Antonelli has been considered a potential future Formula 1 driver. Mercedes has shown strong support for Antonelli, seeing him as a possible successor to Lewis Hamilton or George Russell. In 2024, he made the jump to Formula 2 with Prema Racing, continuing his development toward Formula 1. His driving style is praised for its precision, consistency, and adaptability to different track conditions.
