Officially announced as having only 238 bhp it doesnt seem suited for rally. At Monte Carlo Walter Röhrl nevertheless proved that he was in the game finishing third behind the Lancia Delta. The little Italians were to dominate the 87 season but Audi still came second in the championship with its improbable Audi 200 quattro!
